Overview
Thanks to his Turkish Cypriot upbringing, good food is very important to Mehmet—so his kitchen is just as important. When he had the opportunity to create a kitchen from scratch, he turned to Metris for a design and colour scheme which reflected his personality.
The setting for the new kitchen
When he bought a brand-new, totally open-plan apartment in London, Mehmet was faced with a completely blank canvas. Rather than feeling intimidated by the challenge, he set about creating a bold and personal statement with his Metris Fitted Curve kitchen.
Key kitchen design features
To create a dedicated kitchen space without losing the airy, open-plan feel, Mehmet used a peninsula made from high-gloss Minty Zebrano base cabinets. Choosing Fitted Curve enabled him to maximise the space available, especially in the corners, and to avoid an overly linear effect. Furnishings in Linear Wenge veneer provided a striking but complementary contrast
