Wave Curve in Cambridgeshire

Project Background

The brief

A Cambridgeshire family were looking for a contemporary kitchen to take centre stage in the large kitchen space of their new build home. The room backs onto to a new indoor swimming pool and they wanted the kitchen to act as the main social hub of the home.

The Metris solution

The family fell in love with Wave Curve and contacted Metris specialist Minutiae for a personalised design. Minutiae created an extended Wave Curve island to maximise the full width of the room and included an overhang breakfast bar that overlooked the patio into the garden. Under plinth lighting helped to create a floating island effect and the family personalised the look with the statement Dark Zebrano that was contrasted with a more neutral palette of Gloss Sand and Gloss Earth.
