Project Background

The brief

The client's kitchen space was originally spread across three areas and work had begun on a conservatory extension. The kitchen had a range cooker in the chimney breast, but the client wanted to see if a better layout could be achieved in the space available.

The Metris solution

Our specialist retailer, Ream Kitchens, took a fresh look at the project to see how Metris could create a new kitchen which is both stylish and practical. An impressive curved island design takes centre stage and is situated next to the dining area to act as the main social hub of the room. This is complemented with a very functional galley kitchen that extends around the corner of the large room to overcome the challenge of the awkward split room layout. A colour combination of Minty Zebrano contrasted with Linear Wenge creates a pleasing aesthetic design whilst an effective layout accommodates the practical demands within the available space.
