Awards

A mark of a superb kitchen is that it appeals to homeowners and professionals alike. Industry awards indicate that a brand has been judged by industry experts, measured against competitors, and deemed to be superior. That’s why we’re particularly proud that Metris, a British brand through and through, is picking up a range of prestigious design awards despite stiff competition from long-established German and Italian brands.

Grand Designs’ 2010 Best Kitchen Award

Our Wave Curve kitchen design concept won this award, presented by Kevin McCloud, ahead of kitchen brands such as Philippe Starck, Poliform and Arclinea. We were chosen from over 500 entries across 12 home and product categories, and were judged by a panel of design experts including Sebastian Conran, Wayne Hemingway and Orla Kiely.

Homebuilding & Renovating magazine's Best Kitchen Innovation Award 2010

We won this coveted award for best kitchen innovation with our versatile 1200mm curved system (which features in the Peninsular Curve, Wave Curve and Fitted Curve design concepts). We were named the overall winner in the kitchen category by a panel of specialists including industry figures, property journalists and self-build experts.

The Designer magazine's Gold Award for Product Innovation 2009

Our contemporary, ergonomic curved-corner kitchen system won this challenging award after meeting stringent judging criteria: we had to demonstrate innovation, a strong design and development process and optimum functionality.

KBB magazine’s Best Kitchen Product: Readers’ Design Award finalists 2010

Metris’ Wave Curve was one of 6 finalists for Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms’  Readers' Design Award, voted for from a shortlist nominated by the magazine’s editor. KBB [note italics] said: “The Metris collection offers a distinctive range of fronts, surfaces, textures and colours so that each customer can create their own design statement. However, it was the attention to design detail that caught our imagination.”
